Puerto Escondido Airport (PXM) Puerto Escondido Airport is located 5 minutes from the Villas off Coastal Highway 200 just west of the central part of town. Unfortunately we cannot offer guests a shuttle service to or from the airport, but airport taxis are plentiful and will be available upon your arrival. All the shuttles are familiar with Villas Carrizalillo and will bring you here for a set price of 35 pesos per person. Huatulco Airport (HUX) Another option for air travelers is the Hualtulco Airport which is about 1.5 hours east of Puerto by taxi. Hualtulco is a much more developed tourist town and recieves more daily flights from Mexico city. The Villas are happy to arrange for transportation to and from the Hautulco airport, the cost ranges anywhere from $60 US to $120 US depending on the number of people, season, etc.. Please contact us here via email or phone for a current qoute on airport transportation to and from Huatulco. Taking a bus from the Hautulco Airport is another alternative, the cost is around $6 US per person and takes around 2 hours. Unfortunately there are no direct flights into Puerto at this time. All international flights must first go through Mexico City or Oaxaca City. From Mexico City From Mexico Ctiy there is only one airline that services Puerto Escondido, the name of the airline is "Click" which is run by Mexicana. Reservations can be made easily online at www.click.com.mx. From Oaxaca City There are two airlines from which to choose if you are coming in from Oaxaca City - Aerovega and Aerotucan. Reservations with Aerotucan can be made on the web at www.aerotucan.com.mx. Flight times are usually early in the morining, leaving Oaxaca around 7 AM and then leaving Puerto for Oaxaca at 8 AM. Flight times are prone to change often so please confirm times directly with airlines before making travel plans. From Acapulco (SE on HWY 200; 6 hours): Coming into Puerto you will pass the airport on your left. Continue on Hwy 200 for 1.5 miles (2.4 km), until you see a sign for Villas Carrizalillo, turn right at the sign. Continue for .5 miles (.8 km) until you see the second Villas Carrizalillo sign in front of Hostal Shalom. Turn left at the sign and continue straight down the dirt road for .1 miles or 160 meters, or until it dead ends. The front gates of the Villas are located at the end of the road. From Oaxaca (HWY 131; 6 hours): Highway 131 dead ends on the Carretera Costal, Hwy 200. Turn left, continue for .3 miles or .5 km and turn right at the sign for Villas Carrizalillo. Continue for .5 miles (.8 km) until you see a second Villas Carrizalillo sign, located directly in front of Hostal Shalom. Continue straight down the dirt road for .1 miles or 160 meters until it dead ends, you will see the front gates of the Villas located at the end of this road. From Huatulco (NW on HWY 200; 2 hours): Coming into town you will see a blue sign for "Playa Zicatela" on your left, continue for 1.4 miles (2.3 km) until you come to a traffic light, go thru this stop lite and onto the next (2nd) stop light, you will see a sign for the Villas, turn left here. Go straight on this road until it dead ends into the entrance of Playa Angelito, veer right here. Continue for .3 more miles (.5 km) until you see another sign for Villas Carrizalillo in front of Hostal Shalom, turn left at the sign. Continue straight down the dirt road until it dead ends, the front gates of the Villas are located at the end of the road.
